Folks:
I'm puzzling over what combination of features and settings makes the following work properly.
If I establish an "author" role which can create content (say pages), then I'm not clear on how users with that role make their pages accessible without hiccups.
Problems:
1. If they don't have menu permissions, then drupal does show the setting to create a menu item with the content item. But the menu permissions give them access to a lot of menu admin capability that's a bit too much. What settings make most sense to get around this?
2. Regardless of whether they have menu permissions, if they don't set a menu, then after submitting the page, they aren't able to navigate to it, so it's effectively lost, unless an administrator finds it using "Administer > Content Management". Even if the author wants to just link to the page, they can't find the page to figure out the URL. Am I missing some alternate way for authors to see their content, like a "list all my content" feature?
Thanks, Graham
