When configuring Action - Send HTML e-mail - Body there are no buttons to format the HTML text.
The lack of buttons requires using HTML tags. Not sure if this is as designed or a bug, possible conflict or configuration error.
The first attached file shows the buttons which appear when creating regular content on the site, the second file shows the lack of buttons when configuring the Action.
At admin/config/system/mimemail all the boxes are unchecked - Use Simple Address, Include site style sheets, Send plain text, and Link images only.
For E-Mail format I have a WYSWYG module supported format enabled.
In D6 I think the buttons appeared. Thanks for any ideas.

itserich commentedI was trying to configure a Rule, which I think worked in D6, but the module is Mime Mail Action so perhaps it needs to be set up as an action at
admin/config/system/actions/configure.Will try it there.

sgabe commentedLet's revert the issue settings to make sense of it's existence. There is nothing wrong in Mime Mail in this matter, Rules should improve the support of text_formatted data type.

Plecto commentedI also have this issue and would like to see a solution to it. Has it been solved in more recent versions of the Rules core module of Drupal 7?
