I am using leech to get news from other sites. Now I don't want the news to go to my front page (I already have stable home page) but to the page /news which I am specially going to create for this purpose only.

In short all the published news item should go to news page rather than on home page of the site. I will link the "news" page on the home page menu anyway.

So Any ideas guys ?

Basically, create the feed source and item categories. A helpful tutorial that explains setting up leech and how to do this is found at streamcast.

Once the feeds and feed items are set up, (ie. rsssource and rssnews), you can then work with something like views to set up a block to display the items in a particular location, or if you set up on a page, it gives you the option to link the page created by the view to the menu.

To prevent the items you are leeching from showing up on the front page as well, go to the rsssource and edit it so that the option to have items promoted is selected as "none" - you can't de-select this option, anything else will leave items being promoted to the front page.

BTW, I am using 5.X version of Drupal, so I hope this will be useful for 4.7.x.

i have seen multiple postings where people say "go to the rsssource and set additional leech options and set to "promote is none"..but for the **** of it i do not see this option in content type/RSSSource at all.

I am slowly getting fed up with the documentation for leech/views...and do a simple thing like leeching RSS and have it in a block or similiar and not on the frontpage.

i am drupal 5.x btw. so i have no idea why i dont see the things people describe here.

My problem is also to leech RSS feeds, then i have the nodes...and i need to make a block with views to display the feeds as nodes (also not on the frontpage)
