Unable to install module

This is really strange but when we try to install the module on our live server we get an error. "Error The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later." We are new to Drupal however have not come across this.

When we go to the error log it seems that there could be conflicts as we get a large number of undefined index's in the field_ui_fields_list() and specifically it was breaking metatags_quick which would then split out the meta tag widget in the content type and would no longer allow us to modify any content type (required to make fivestar and votingapi work as comment votes)...

We have had to roll back the changes (because it is live) and we are unable to replicate the issue on our local server - which does have some other modules installed for dev.

Because we are so new we are open to any ideas to fix this. We had been so impressed with the module and its ability to work with comments and fivestar as well as it did but disappointed it won't work
