I have set my menu for expanded, coz they have child menu under it. but when you browse the pages, the menu automatic expanded, ( all the child menu showing under the upper menu). I don't want that, I want only show the upper menu, but when people click it., the child menu will show off. How can I do it or did I do something wrong ??

I had ran into a same kind of problem problem with expanded menus when I installed Drupal 5.X.
Have you applied the global redirect module too? If yes then I think may be this is the same problem
