search_thai 7.x-1.0

เวลา 3 เดือนผ่านไป หลังจากเขียนเรื่อง Drupal 7 core search สำหรับภาษาไทย (dirty hack) ผมเพิ่งจะมีเวลาทำ module หลังจากดู Thai unicode range reference อย่างละเอียด ก็เลยหาวิธีจัดการคำไทยด้วย regular expression ทดสอบดูก็พอใช้ได้ เลยปล่อย stable release ให้คนที่ต้องการเอาไปลองใช้งานดู ก่อนที่ผมจะลืม

โดยความเห็นส่วนตัว แนะนำให้ใช้ Apache Solr เป็นเครื่องมือค้นหาสำหรับ Drupal จะดีกว่า เพราะมันเร็วกว่าและดีกว่า database search มาก แต่ search_thai ตัวนี้ก็คงพอแก้ขัดไปได้สำหรับคนที่ไม่มี Solr ไว้คอยรับมือกับการค้นหาและเก็บอินเด็กซ์เนื้อหาภาษาไทยใน Drupal ครับ

It's been 3 months since I wrote Drupal 7 core search for Thai language (dirty hack). I just have enough time to implement the module after looked closely at Thai unicode range reference and find a simple way to tokenize Thai texts with regular expression. So it's reasonable time for the first stable release before I forget about it.

In my opinion, the recommended search handling for Drupal is using Apache Solr, it's very much faster and better than database search for performance reason. But this little module may help those who can't use Solr but need to extend Drupal capability to handle Thai contents searching and indexing.
