God, I feel such a newbie, but I'm probably missing something obvious:
I'm working on a client website, the outside is a brochure site (inside is cleverer) but the client needs to be able to add project details on a regular basis for new potential clients to become involved in.
I can get all the basic stuff working, blog entries appear in the "latest blog entries" block, and so on.
But I need a block that display "projectdetails" where that is a content-type I've invented. Likewise I want a testimonials block with just "testimonials" in it. I just can't see how to make a given block display a specific type of entry.
I've searched every which way on this site but the keywords are so common I can't find what I need.
Help.
Please.

Block Bar
Even though I've been playing with Drupal for a couple months now I still feel like a "n00b" so don't worry about it...
Did you try the Block Bar module (see the Download tab)? I haven't used it but a quick glance makes it look promising for what you want.
Hell, I've found 99% of the time if I have something I need and can't figure it out a module already exists that does it.
Hope that helps!

My first instinct was to say "that's unhelpful", but I swallowed my pride. I had Views installed but not activated.

Thanks.

No problem ;)
A practical explanation was probably redundant, there being so much info already written about Views, so glad you got the point, and of course ther was no disresprect intended!
Go forth and make Views:)
