I am using the features that allow me to attach the location taxonomy terms to the node. However, when i save existing nodes or new nodes after this feature is enabled, nothing happens. In order for the taxonomy term to be attached I have to hit the "Bulk Taxonomize Locations". Is this what is supposed to or need to happen? Is there a way to set a rule that will trigger this action?
Note that I also used the 7.x-2.3 version.
Thanks,
Lauren

goron commentedHmm. This definitely is not the way it's supposed to work. The new term should be attached when the node is saved.
Otherwise, please describe your setup and workflow using LT as exactly as possible so that I could try to see what's causing the problem, and please confirm that running Bulk Taxonomize does in fact add terms to nodes that didn't get added on node save.
llorberb commentedAre you using Address Field or Location?
- yes
Are you naming the taxonomy term field correctly? (I assume so since it works on Bulk Taxonomize)
- yes, both the taxonomy name and the term reference name are correct
Are you saving nodes with existing locations or adding new ones? It's possible that if you save a node with an existing location and don't change the location that the LT functionality won't be triggered...
- all locations and nodes are new
Have a lot of modules running? Doing any custom node submit/validate callbacks?
- having the same issue on a clean install of drupal 7
is there a sequence of how this needs to be set up?
note:
- my location field is only set up to require the country
- all functionality works as expected once the "bulk taxonomize location" is used
Comment #3
llorberb commentedto add a bit more
using
- Location 7.x-3.x-dev
- Location taxonomize 7.x-2.3
- Location taxonomize - Location 7.x-2.3
when add a new node with location, the location is not added to the taxonomy list. Have to bulk taxonomize in order to add the new location to the taxonomy and attach the taxonomy term to the node.
Location field set up as - city optional, state optional, country required
Term reference field set up as autocomplete term widget and to only collect one term (since I only want the country field added to the taxonomy list.
Thanks,
Lauren

llorberb commentedClosing this..
I didn't realize that you could not use the location cck field. This should be documented more clearly.
Thanks.

goron commentedNote that support for the CCK location field is being worked on here: #1331052: Taxonomize Location CCK field

goron commentedAdded a note on the project page clarifying this.
