Is it normal that slickgrid doesnt allow the standard title field of a contenttype to be edited? any work arounds?

Maybe it is too late already, but I was looking for a workaround for the same issue. I found this module that maybe be useful for you as well:

That did it, perhaps this should be a required module? Seems less likely someone would not want to edit the title of a node.

Switching to feature request to ask that project/title be required, might also add a note in the admin interface to let users know to "reset" the title into an actual field.
