drupal's standard upload have a progress bar that is not displayed. this one is very helpful if you have large files to upload that takes a long time. please add the progressbar.

This is another ongoing issue that hasn't ever been escalated. If you'd like to take a look I'd be grateful. I never liked the method upload.module used to implement this.

I haven't really fixed this but I now use my own 'working..' indicator to show that the upload is in progress. At some later point I may move the indicator down into the upload fieldset so that the user can more easily see and associate it with the upload process.

As per #803722: Cease support of Drupal 5? support for D4 and D5 has been closed. Sorry, please upgrade to Drupal 6. If you think this issue still applies with Version 6.x please reopen this issue with correct version tag.
