This is a rather strange problem. The /files/images does indeed exist but ever since I installed Drupal it continued to say it did not, despite the fact that /files was acceptable. The file has the 777 permissions (thus it is writable by Drupal) so I don't understand what the problem is. I can't even change what file it goes to, as it says that the errors prevent it from saving! This is terrible, because I really wish to have image hosting on my site. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this rather odd problem? It would really help a lot!

Hi artistsf, Check out this
Hi artistsf,
Check out this thread I started the other day when I had the same problem - hope you are able to solve this problem the same way I was!

Arghhhhhhhhhhhh
Didn't work, it didn't reset as blank Dx
Thanks for trying, anyways ^^;;
UGH - it's like there's no cure!
I even tried just resetting the settings, which worked exactly the same as trying to put in a different file name "could not be saved because of errors". UGH.
I just went over at least TEN different fixes but to absolutely no avail. Any suggestions? Anyone?
Wow!
Fixed! After several different tries and file creations, I simply decided to make one of my old files that already had an images folder in it a 777 as well as the images folder, and then went to the configuration and made that my files folder. It worked wonderfully! xD
Hope this really simple fix helps someone else lol!
