Change limit on items to reserve

Currently on our implementation of Reservations API the limit on the number of items that anyone can reserve at one time appears to be around 18.

It would be good if the limit was configurable.

In some instances, like now, our staff needs to reserve a lot more than 18 items. And they cannot.

Is there any programmatic reason why the limit couldn't be 50?

Is there a practical limit that needs to be in place in terms of the code?
