The fserver module is a feature, and includes a views style plugin called updatexml. Recently I updated ctools on my fserver site and the updatexml style plugin was listed as missing in the view it was used in. I went through all the commits between ctools 7.x-1.0-rc1 and ctools 7.x-1.0-rc2, there were a lot so I used a binary search downloading the snapshots from git to see which one broke fserver. I found it broke at the commit for #1369082 Plugin api info found that shouldn't be This commit added a single line and by removing that line from ctools 7.x-1.0-rc2 my fserver site work again. So I assume that it has a side effect on views or views plugins inside features.
