I upgraded to 5.1, and I upgraded my theme. However, now below my nodes there is a "links inline" showing instead of the links for Comments and Read More and things like that. This appears in the teaser as well as the full node. I tried to find solutions in the forums, but they just point to this being a theme issue.

When you upgraded the theme did you replace ALL the old theme files with the newer version?
The template.php file that comes with the theme should be replaced with the newer version.

Please make sure that you did not rename the theme's folder (e.g., you changed the name of the folder that contains the theme's files). If the theme has been renamed, you will have this problem.

apparently this template.php was the issue. However, I unpacked the new theme and overwrote everything except my stylesheet. Then I backed up my stylesheet and overwrote everything again. So I guess the template.php didn't overwrite the first two times. I'm not sure why, but I guess it was the ftp program I was using. Thanks for the assistance!
