I installed the module succesfully. I can create a gmap macro but when i put it into a node i can only see the map, not the marker.
I checked the installation requirments and everything seems ok.
I run Drupal 5.1 with gmap 5.06 and the i18n module.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you were trying to use a marker manager. They have been broken for a long time, but I finally got around to fixing them again. Please see http://drupal.org/node/176765.
