I upgraded to dev version. cleared cache, added field to content type. added piece of content, on save blank screen. Removed name field, replaced name module with v1.4 = can save

I committed a untested segment of code from an experienced developer. I expect this to be the code that is causing issues. I will look latter tonight. Do you have entity api on this installation?

OK, something fishy is going on, but all the tests that I ran passed. Can you turn on error reporting and let me know what this outputs please?

Yes have entity api installed. unfortunately since I'm working on a live site I don't want recreate the problem. I did check the log at the time, unfortunately they are already out, but I do recall it having something to do with jquery.maphilight (which I thoght very strange) therefore could be a module conflict...

@sijuwi Would you be willing to share a copy of your site (code & db) so that I can resolve any potential issue?

If so, DO NOT upload here. Ping me using my contact form and I will send an email where you can send it to me. Do not include your files directory and delete the database passwords in the settings.php file for additional security.

I've run this on sites with virtually no contrib modules and sites with nearly a hundred and no issues...

How about just you sites modules directory and system table, least that way I can determine the exact setup to try and replicate.

Just a error message / line would probably be enough. There are a few other users and I've run this on 5 or 6 sites now with no issues.

I want to push out another tagged release, but this had me worried!

I've since upgraded from D 7.10 - 7.12 and a variety of new modules. Upgrading the names module seems to have worked without the white screen issue. All appears well, but will let you know if I find anything amiss.
