In Views:
"Previous Comment" - this shows all previous comments - creating duplicate entries in the view.
"Current Comment" - should be added as an available field in views (showing just the last comment).

justintime did a patch for 6.x-1.x about a year ago here

I think the line numbers might need to be slightly updated, but seems to work well when I manually added to includes/workflow.views.inc

Thanks for the post @ryantollefson, I was wondering where 'current comment' was!

Here's a patch for 7.x-1.0, I'm open to feedback and I hope this has a possibility of getting committed as it's a much needed feature.
