Unable to save the "Colorbox caption field" option

Please provide information on how you are using the Media Colorbox formatter.

Same issue here. I have a file entity with a field on it called "field_caption". It's a text field, nothing fancy...

I have Media Colorbox enabled as a display for "Small". It's the only enabled display. I have the File View Mode set to "Link", Colorbox view mode set to Colorbox, and Caption set to "File Type text field".

I've edited the caption field on the file entity, and checked the box to make it a colorbox caption. If I save and then edit the field again the box isn't checked, so it's never saving my choice for the field to use as a caption. I also never get captions when viewing the images.

Scratch that. I had another config issue preventing captions from appearing. They work fine now... I think this is just UI confusion more than anything else, as the checkbox never indicates whether or not the existing field is already being used for the caption, so it seems like it's not working because it's never checked when editing your caption field. So perhaps it would be better as a button? "Use As Colorbox Caption", and when you click it, it toggles the current field to be the caption provider?

In any case, everything seems to be working correctly here, at least for me.

Now setting default value of caption text field, this will allow you to see if you have already set a field on the file entity to be the caption field for Media Colorbox.
