Which buttons/plugins have you enabled?
Are there any errors in the browser's JavaScript console?
Have you tried with TinyMCE 3.5b2?

Firebug didn't show any bugs, but I've tried to fix the problem and my guess the problem is in the code of the resizing part of the Advanced theme in TinyMCE. I have tried the last 3.5b release and the problem gone.
