fehin commentedI used string override to get most of what I need. It will be nice to have another module like donation for general use.
fehin commentedI spoke too soon. I tried to deposit money and on Paypal website the button says "Donate $5.00 USD now". Do I get it to say, "pay $5.00 now" or "deposit $5.00 now"?
fehin commentedI would greatly appreciate it if anyone can point me to how to change the paypal page the button sends me to. I would like to change it from the donate page to a regular pay now or buy now page. Thank you.

aeris commentedGot same issue here... Wish anyone could help... Thx..

fehin commentedChange this line in lm_paypal.module from
to
And you should be able to use paypal donations module to sell items.
aeris commentedThx... I've done that and change the item_name in lm_paypal.module that by default was 'Donation'. That's makes me frustated because when I proceed to paypal.com, the order summary was 'Donation'. So i thought that this is still donation, not payment.
Anyway, I want to ask How can I save the ipn detail to my another table. Example, i want to get the amount, email and date, and save it to my table. Thx for reply.

fehin commentedBuy now shouldn't say donation on PayPal.com. I'm not sure why you are still seeing that. On your website, you may need to use string override module to change the text from Donations module to fit your need.
About creating a different table, you will need to create a module for that. I'm not an expert since I'm still learning myself.

aeris commentedCan i just find where the lm paypal module save the ipn to the database and i override db_insert or drupal_write_record to my table?
jordanmagnuson commentedSame issue as aeris... I've changed the button type to LM_PAYPAL_FORM_CMD_BUY_NOW and cleared caches, but on the PayPal website it still shows as 'Donation'.

jordanmagnuson commentedAh, okay... just realized that I needed to set the $options['item_name'] variable to change the *name* of the item when going to PayPal.
