Description

Hi was speaking to mate who works in energy industry and he pointed out to me that CO2 created while flying has twice the affect of C02 created at ground level?

May be CO2 created but air travel could have multiplier factor, so if you created xxx CO2 on holiday trip it could be multiplied by x2 to take this into account?

Hi carpman. Think your mate is right. The climatecare and chooseclimate models in the drupal module use 2x and 2.8x multipliers to account for this. This thread has got some comments and links on this topic. This article from atmosfair.de is particularly detailed on all aspects to emissions from air travel, Hope this is useful.
