It's not immediately obvious on learndrupal.org how to take this initiative back to your local meetup and use it. Is there already a place with a layout of how to run a meetup with people who don't know what they're doing (which includes me). I can't believe I didn't think of this in Thursday's BOF.

Great suggestion! Coming soon. It's one of many things I've had on my to-do list for learndrupal.org that just hasn't gotten done yet. Hopefully we'll get this content up during tomorrow's DrupalCon sprint.

I'm particularly interested in this as well, since I'll be doing this for the first time with my DUG in a few weeks. I'll definitely help fill things out with this once a first draft gets posted up somewhere. Currently I'm making it up as I go along, but I figure we have a few weeks to start documenting, and then I can add to it based on how the first meetup goes.
