Showing thumbnails for images

I am trying to find a module that allows me to easily add dependent images to a node. The images have to be either Image nodes or CCK-built types that have an imagefield inside.

This module seems like something I would use however it does not allow me to select dependent image nodes in the way images should be selected - by clicking on a thumbnail. It only shows me a list of image names which makes not much sense for images ;-(

Can you improve the node-selection form so that it has a better support for images, i.e. showing different types of node lists: thumbnails, lists, grids, etc.
