Hi,

Does lightbox 2 supports other application closing features in addition to the close button? in particular I'm interested in the esc button and clicking the transparent background to close the application (in the same manner thickbox provides)?

Clicking on the transparent background beneath the picture closes the lightbox, though clicking on the transparent background to the right or left of the picture doesn't. Pressing Esc doesn't do anything - the lightbox remains open.

In the current version, it is possible to press "x", "o" or "c" to close the lightbox. If you have image grouping set up, then pressing "p" or the left arrow will open the previous image, while pressing "n", the right arrow or the spacebar will open the next image. It should be case-insensitive. I've added ESC to the list of keys which will close the box and this will be included in the next release.

I've added in the patch from #155223 which adds in the functionality to close the lightbox when you click on the background. This has been committed to CVS for both 5.x and 4.7.x versions and will be included in the next release.
