The page module doesn't support displaying content to anonymous users. Any access attempt by an anonymous user results in "Access Denied".

dublin drupaller commentedI think you enable that under ADMINISTER >> USERS >> CONFIGURE >> PERMISSIONS
by setting ACCESS CONTENT to be enabled for Anonymous Users.
Hope that helps..

NaSPA1 commentedThanks Jason, I already had the "access content" permission set. Seems that the page module is interpreting every visit as an attempt to update it.
(not verified) commentedCannot reproduce this on my site... I've been using page nodes forever for anonymous-browsable pages.
Do you have a public URL where we can see this problem? Perhaps a screenshot of your permissions page would be helpful too.
Are you using any contributed modules? (more specifically, have you tried any node access permission modules? They might fiddle with your node_access table and cause this sort of problem.)
xand commentedI similarly cannot reproduce this. What version are you running, and please provide a public example.
