Hello all,
My first post here, so hopefully I can relate things properly.
1 - Everything has been working great since the first install about 6 weeks ago.
2 - I recently installed (and later unintalled) these 2 modules: OG and OG_Calendar.
3 - I am only guessing that these may have caused the problem described below, since that was the only recent change I can remember making.
4 - The problem: I create a View Page to display nodes of a particular Content Type. When I'm logged-in, with Admin status, I can see the page and the stories appear on it correctly. But, when I'm (or anyone else on a different computer and OS) not logged in, nothing appears on the Page other than the title and the footer.
5 - I have checked/tried the following with no luck:
- On the status page (I think) it indicated to run the Update.php script, so I did, and the odd behavior continues.
- User access is set correctly for all user types to be able to access all content. I've also tried resetting and re-saving User Access.
- I have deleted the Views folder in the Modules directory and reinstalled the Views module (views-5.x-1.5.tar.gz).
- Previous views are working (at least displaying anyway -- I haven't yet tried adding content to existing view pages), but creating a brand new View Type still gives the same odd behavior.
- I have deleted the two pieces of content and created a new Content Type and set the view to display it, and the problem still happens.
I haven't tried reinstalling Drupal, mainly because I'm not that savvy/knowledgeable with all of this and I'm worried that I'll lose all the work I've done so far.
I think that's everything I've tried so far with no luck in fixing the problem. Any suggestions? The site is http://SpoilersLounge.com and the page that is acting incorrectly is a test page under the navigation links currently labled as "Viewerville6607" The direct link is http://SpoilersLounge.com/aatest
Thanks for any help you can offer,
Benjamin

Access Control
In many cases, installing OG creates an access issue. Check that you have the nodes that should be in the view, as well as the view itself, visible to all audiences.
You'll want to set that as the default in OG.
Good luck!
:)
Follow-up questions
Thanks for the very quick reply Cayenne.
Possibly you or someone else can answer this follow-up:
To clarify:
1 - I have actually uninstalled OG and OG-Calendar and this behavior persists.
1B - I have reinstalled OG with no positive result.
2 - I have checked all permissions for all user types and all are set to be able to access all content: Access Control > Node Module > Access Content (all users types are checked).
3 - I have deleted the Views folder in the Modules directory and re-installed a fresh copy of Views.
Having tried the above, does anyone think that one of the following would resolve this problem:
1 - Reinstall OG and reconfigure some setting in OG or elsewhere. (I did try this, but maybe I'm missing a setting?)
2 - Reinstall Drupal (with the goal being not to lose any of the content and set-up/structure I've already created).
Thanks very much,
Benjamin

Solution (at least in the short term)
Thanks again to Cayenne who did have the answer. I just had to re-install the OG module and then do the following:
1 - Go to Administer > Organic Groups > Organic Groups Configuration > Access Control.
2 - Enable
3 - Go to Node Authoring
4 - Set "Visibility of Posts" to "Visible within the targeted groups and on other pages"
5 - Since I didn't want to use Groups anyway, I then went to the Menu settings and disabled the 2 related menus that come along with the OG module.
Now, on your content (Create Content > select content type) there will appear a new section for Groups, and as long as you keep the page "Public" then all will work as expected (as if OG were never installed).
I guess I had thought that by deleting the OG module, that would have removed its influence, but it didn't.
I'll have to experiment (later) to see what happens if I delete the module now that these settings are in place.
Thanks for the help. I hope this helps someone else with this confusing behavior.
Best,
Benjamin
