ok this is my last problem i'm pretty sure of it ;) now what it is like the title suggests is that when i create a new page i can only put one story in it see i would like it to be like the front page and to have multiple stories on it, but it seems i cant do that at the moment
see the way i would let it to be for example is this
(nav menu)
Menu item one
- example catagory one (all multiple storys about this catagory here like the front page)
- example catagory two (all multiple storys about this catagory here like the front page)
- example catagory three (all multiple storys about this catagory here like the front page)
Menu item two
- example catagory one (all multiple storys about this catagory here like the front page)
- example catagory two (all multiple storys about this catagory here like the front page)
but as i can do this (well dont know how to lol) this is how my site will look (which I don't want it to)
(nav menu)
Menu item one
- example catagory one
---example story
---example story
---example story
---example story
---example story
---example story
- example catagory two
---example story
---example story
---example story
---example story
- example catagory three
---example story
---example story
---example story
---example story
and to me it just make the site look Clogged up lol so if any one can help me sort this I would be so so greatful :)

Not sure what you want but probably you can assign multiple blog
Not sure what you want but probably you can assign multiple blogs :
for example
create a blog user named "category_one" [ or whatever be its name ]
create a blog user named "category_two" [ or whatever be its name ]
etc
Now ( taking it granted all the time that you have blog module with proper permissions installed
and have clean url enabled )
you can have uri like http://your_example_site/blog/11 [ or whatever number is category_one blog ]
which you can add in menu or visit directly to see multiple stories in 'one' page.
huh? are you using taxonomy?
if you have a taxonomy for these content types, it should be workign for you already! to help out, try putting in pathauto module to handle alias names for your site that are easy to remember, so here's an example:
i've got a content type called 'story'
i've got a vocab called 'story categories' with terms: sports, business, politics
i create a story in sports, another in business, etc (and one day, hundreds in each term)
in my taxonomy, i go to main page, view list of vocabs and mouse over the main terms 'story categories' OR simply list terms and see the url for each term
i copy the term path to the primary menu links - for example, my paths in this example will be:
content/story-categories/sports
content/story-categories/business
etc..
when those links are accessed, tehy will by default display a page with teasers of all most recent content in any such category (eg sports shows all teasers for all sports stories, most recent first, with page forward links when it goes past X posts as defined in site configuration)
there's a lot more that you can do with this - for example, if you mouse over the 'list terms' fields, you'll see a unique number for each term, so for the top level 'stories' link in the same menu (before one actually picks 'sports' or 'business') i might have a path like:
content/story-categories/12+14+19 (the three numbers for the three terms: sports, business, politics)
..now that page will show teasers for ALL three combined (useful to combine only selected terms versus 'all' in the vocab)
you might also explore other taxonomy modules to see how much room there is to play with this stuff, but that shoudl get you started...
you do NOT want to link to every story in a menu!! that would be a nightmare unless you're building a small corporate brochureware site with only 20 or so nodes!

not showing list of titles and teasers
I have setup a category but the display is showing only one content page with links below it to next, previous etc
How do I get a list contaning all titles and teasers of each node tagged with that term to show up instead of just one at a time. Is this theme dependent?
What url are you using? You
What url are you using?
You know that vocabs themselves don't display a teaser list?
You might have to structure it using a parent TERM, and child terms (as opposed to a parent vocab with terms within it). Then the url to the parent will display all nodes tagged with the child terms that are within the parent.
just sent you email on this too
this may be something simple in your site configuration - post settings option - you can specify how many teasers/posts appear on any page before page next/back buttons appear - many sites set up for only 1 post, other like 10 or more (particulalry if they use custom teasers that are tiny, they want like 15 teasers on a category page or more)
does that solve it for you?
