I have installed Media 7.x-1.0 (rather reinstalled few months after a disappointing earlier install and after going through the usual uninstall problems :( ).
I have two problems now.
1.Non admin roles are able to see all files in the library (The files were there before the reinstall). Is there any way to restrict visibilty of files to authors and admin only?
2.Non admin roles do not see the 'upload' button in media browser, only 'library' (checked the permissions, its enabled)

The latest -dev releases of Media and File entity have much improved file access permissions.
