I'm able to use Cobalt 7.x-1.0-beta4 in Mac OS X 10.7 with Safari 5.1.4 and Chrome 17.0.963.83.
Firefox 11.0 (my mainstay browser) does not play nicely with Cobalt 7x/beta4.

Google Gears is mentioned in the module description as a requirement for Firefox, however Google no longer provides a download of Gears.

Any help is appreciated. Cobalt is wonderfully useful and I'd like to be able to use it in Firefox.

Follow up:
I found an old installer for Google Gears, but it says, "Google Gears is not compatible with Mac OS X versions later than Leopard (10.5)."

Result is that Cobalt still won't work on Firefox 11.0 on Mac OS X 10.7.3.

Gears support has been removed. Until we get IndexDB support only Safari and Chrome is supported at the moment. See http://drupal.org/node/1102660

Could you clearly state which browsers are currently supported on the module's project page so as to avoid Firefox users chasing their tails ( like I have just done ! ).
