I've been using the location module a lot on a site where I only have latitude and longitude for the locations. I needed the maps to use that information, rather than street, city, state, zip infomation for pulling up the Google, Yahoo & Mapquest maps. I've attached a patch that does just that. It is for the US locations only.

I don't know if you're still interested or not, but here it is. There was actually no difference between the two, except that I probably created the original in the supported subdirectory, rather than the module's root directory.
