there is a option in 7.x-1 branch that updates clock with js but I cannot find it in 7.x-2.x-dev. If you have removed it please add it back.

Well there is no checkbox for updating via JS anymore, because I really think there is no reason to disable it. I don't think it works currently under all circumstances, especially with multiple clocks, but in theory it should "Just Work".
Do you think it should still be a setting?

yes there's no reason to disable it, actually I was looking for that options because of this issue.
