The node/add form hierarchical select fields stop functioning with an error "Received an invalid response from the server." if a link from the dropbox (like this http://dl.dropbox.com/ *any link symbols to follow*) is put into URL field.
The checkbox of 'validate url' in link preferencies changes nothing.
I didn't met any other links like that to cause the same error but possibly they exist.

My thoughts about the problem - the exact link (http://dl.dropbox.com/) is forbidden or something like that, because changing any letter in this link removes the error.

P.S. don't know what tags should be added, if needed please edit&add them :)

I'm going to need more information about what exactly you're having trouble with. You're mentioning heirarchial select fields - could you indicate which module you're using for those fields, and (roughly) how you've got them set up?

Just putting in a standard link field and putting in a dl field didn't cause any problems for me at all.

(updating to Link 7.x-1.0+15-dev changed nothing)
Drupal core 7.0

Added a new content type, it consists only of Title, long text and link.
Adding a link of http://dl.dropbox.com/ causes an error:
"Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /node/add/post on this server." instead of saving.

I have plenty of modules on, what of them i have to pay attention to?

Can you provide any more info on your setup? How is your hierarchical select field configured? When precisely do you receive the error - when saving the node?

Are you really still on Drupal 7.0? You should try upgrading to the latest stable release.

Still this bug occurs. Updated all modules to the latest versions (mostly div's).
Link is 7.x-1.0+24-dev.

HS settings in an add form:
1 field with HS
- Save only the deepest term
- Force the user to choose a term from a deepest level
- Resizable = on
other checkboxes are off

2 field with HS
- Save term lineage
- Force the user to choose a term from a deepest level
- Resizable = on
Dropbox settings are on
Limit the number of selections: 2
Reset selection of hierarchical select: off
other checkboxes are off

When i receive an error.
Anything can be entered in the form fields until in link field the mentioned linf is entered. After that both HS fields stop wotking. When i enter there some value from pre-defined, the popup window shows that error.

After I wrote the all above, I found that it is not really about link field...sorry man. I did not tried to enter the link of this kind in any other places. And so, entering the dl.dropbox.com in any text field except the Info-standart field is crashing the HS fields.
Anyway, dropbox develops, and using this kind of links is not necessary any more, so i close this issue. But if anybody wants me to show the error again - i can =) Even in skype\teamviewer online stile =)
