Hello,

I have a content type X with an image field and i've made a view to show thumbnails of these content type nodes.
Each thumbnail has a link to the correspondent node on the title but i want to put a link on the image as well.

How can i do that?

In Views, in image field's settings, select "Content" from "Link image to" drop-down.

Hi Mediasur,

I've tried that before but it doesn't work. I click on the image in the views page and it doesn't link.
For example, in View's, under content: title, there's an check option to link to the content but not on content: image.

What do you recommend?

Hi André,

There must be "Link image to" drop-down in your image's field settings and you should select "Content" from that drop-down.

Here is an example screenshot. If you don't see these options, something is wrong with your Drupal installation or settings.

Hi,

I know what i did wrong, the image field was a multimedia asset instead of a image.
I changed that and did what you said but the link to the content still doesn't work...

What else can i do?

I don't know about multimedia assets. If you don't see options i mentioned before altough you have change it to Image; it might be a cache problem(Clear all caches.). Did you try to add a new Image field(to see if it works)?

Yes, i added a new image field with an image instead of a multimedia asset.

Went to Views, the options you mentioned appeared and i chose link to content but when i go the page, there's no link on the image.

Does it work for you?

yeas i am missing something, the changes i've made in the view do not get saved.

Hi Andre,

A few -might be silly- questions:

  • Are you sure that you click Save button on top of the Views page after you made changes?
  • Are you sure that you are using right fields(not similar other ones)?

And the last i can do is to modify your View directly. If some way(a second temporary and limited admin account?) i see and change View, i might be able to understand and -maybe- solve the problem.

It's even worst.

I had two more views. Each had a list of teasers. Each teaser had a title, a picture and a text.
The picture disappeared in all teasers in both those views!!!!!!
But not on the last view i've made.

That account is not admin, so i can't see your View. If you can create a second admin account or share your User1 login info please don't write it here and share it with me via Contact form of my Drupal account. I am setting up multi site for testing and demo right now but i try to inspect your View as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile i went to the content type and change de display content to 2 panels and when i went back, everything is working.

I know what was the problem!!

I had the teaser to display content and you put it to display fields and now it works!!!!

I changed Format from content fo Fields but i accidentally chose All displays. that is why your page fixed too. But i see you changed it to back Content. Let me check your content type and other settings. (And please install Admin menu for god's sake :)

I fixed your day_19_to_25 View. Please don't change it and make other views setting same with it.

Block view example:

Page view example:

Problem is about multimedia asset field. I don't know where ti comes(i can't chack with limited user rights). I made "Goal images" field(field_goal_images) visible and used it in Views, that is why it works now.

You can change page for where to show Block view and change path in Page view. I used thumbnail image style for testing, you cna change it too.

Hope your problem solved this way.
