How to use for donations

I tried to use it for donations to create a custom line item, however after enabling the module and adding a custom content type, the action link for both content types where gone. Only after disabling and uninstalling this module did I get the action links back.

@codigo. Did you figure this out? I am having this same problem.

@codigo, did you notice that there is a sreencast of how to do it using custom line item types, but not using customizable products. Do you know if you can use custom line item types module at the same time as customizable products module?

It seems that doing donations in Custom Line Item Types is well documented, but its project page says the module "should be considered deprecated" in favor of this one. Consequently we need donations functionality here if CustomLineItems has no future.

I ended up using CustomLineItems, works well for me.

You need to add a pricing rule in order to get the price to update to the entered donation amount.

The rule configuration is the same regardless of whether you are using this module or Custom Line Items.

The "Commerce Custom Line Item" module should not be used.

I'll give this a go again, but followed this tutorial several times and it never worked for me. I'll post back in here with results.
