Not totally sure what's going on, but every time a user votes the total vote number jumps by 2 instead of 1. Also not sure where to start looking... it's a views field:

Relationship: Content: Vote results
Identifier: Vote results
Value type: points
Vote tag: Normal vote
Aggregation function: Number of votes
