Two media fields in content type

I have a problem with a content type that has two media fields, one an image and one a video. I don't want the image to show in the player, so in the field settings for the image field I have set Media Type to 'None'. However this setting is being ignored. When I view the node, the image is being displayed in the media player instead of a video still. When I click the player the video plays as it should.

The image is not displayed in the usual way, in the node content. Instead I'm using the CCK blocks module to show the image in a block. Could that be a factor in the bug? (if it is a bug)
