Is it possible to use text in markers like on the map on http://www.google.com/apis/maps/ ("Sign up for a Google Maps API key, or read more about the API.") can't figure out how to add a note like that.

Setting the 'text' property on a marker will make an info window on click.

When using a macro, you can put a colon after the coordinates of a marker and type in what you want to appear in the box.
