I would like to see subproducts to work with File product type.

Imagine a site that sell audiobooks in different languages, they need to create a new product per book language. Instead of just a product and subproducts for each language (The Divine Comedie in English, Spanish, French, etc).

im sorry to take so long to answer: EC4 will be released just before Drupal 6. Since there is no fixed release date to Drupal 6, there is no release date do ECommerce4.

i would really like this functionality as i think it will forefill a requirement i have.
I wish to enable Audio nodes that are published as 'file download products' to have sub products depending on file type and licence.
I think this is essential functionality for 'file' type product.

Guys,

the subproducts modules for Ecommerce will allow you to use any product as an attribute. So you can have a product called "DaVinci Code in spanish" with a file on it and consider it as an attribute from "DaVinci" parent product.

PS: Ecommerce 4 is planned to be released just before Drupal 6: in two to four months (september probably)
