I am testing the upgrade from 6.25 tot 7.12. After having succesfully done the update process, I am unable to login via /user: the site is appearing, the tabs are displayed, but the fields to enter user name and password are not.

Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this?

Me too!
I have the same problem! upgrading from 6.25 tot 7.12
At first I thought was related to themes issue.
I tried all suggestions found here: http://drupal.org/node/200774, but it is not related to themes.
I guess it may be related to some module disabled. But I can not find how to handle module via database.
Any help will be appreciated.

I just came across Drupalace (http://www.drupalace.com/blog/2011/09/upgrading-from-drupal-6-to-drupal-...). When he said "Wait - could it be the theme?"
He gave me a great idea! I removed all themes as he said! More! I removed all modules from sites/all/modules.
Then, as Drupalace said, I gave to update.php one more shot!
And the sun is shining again!!!!
