The issue in the title I'm 90% sure is a core issue so some searching there will likely turn it up. The issue in the body of the post I have no idea as I haven't heard of anyone having issues with it once they have statistics enabled and pageview counting on.

So all 22000 sites using this module have this problem?
What should I do, report it to the core team? It is quite visible problem after all and affects all forums all the time...

No, I said search the core queue because I'm pretty sure it's already reported. And not all 22K sites use access control modules, which is where the problem shows up.

Ok, thanks, this issue seems to have been around for very long time.
Had I known that beforehand, I probably wouldn't have used core forum at all...
