Taxonomy tab only shown in content area, not header or sideblocks

Using spreadfirefox, the taxonomy tab which should appear on top of the search field only appear in the content area, not in the header (where I have my search field) or the side blocks where it also could be. This is however, less important if I get TQL and views to work.
