Just interested in views on the likely consequences of the formation of Blue Marine, which is clearly bigger than Acquia. To what extent does this new formation have a co-ordinated view on the future of Drupal, and what is that view? Does anyone more familiar with the key developers than I am know which important individuals remain outside Blue Marine or Acquia?

Clearly time to throw in the towel for all us little fish.
We'll be drownded in the big blue marine!

I'm just sad I didn't get offered a founding stakeholder role and incentivize my virtualized synergy too... :-(

Giants like Acquia, Blue Marine Synergistics and newly formed Wunderkraut are very important for the growth of Drupal. They aren't interested in small projects on budget but on really big clients that need large-scale solutions. By contributing new solutions in the forms of modules, distributions or just a detailed case study, every member of the community will benefit.

Another benefit is big Drupal projects for prominent clients draw attention to the framework so that we smaller shops with little marketing budget can win small projects more easily than before.
