to reproduce, with latest dev version (Apr 4, 2012)
1. create NAT content type, associate vocabulary
2. delete that content type
3. go to admin/structure/nat/fields ...NAT believes that type and its fields still exist.

...but amazingly, NAT still syncs!

after following above steps, then visiting admin/structure/nat/sync
deleted type is still available to sync - and it does, kinda:

NAT sync complete: 0 nodes synced.
