mysql 4.1 support ?

Can anybody confirm that mysql version 4.1 is supported by Drupal, or if I should stick to version 4.0 (I only have experience of running Drupal with mysql 4.0).

Apparently some mysql behaviors have changed in 4.1 ( example of 'NATURAL JOIN' => http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=6136), and I am wondering if Drupal is fully compatible with the latest 4.1 release which is 4.1.8.
