Description

I'm using Lucid Menu with TinyMCE on 3-4 sites and it's working fine until I open a page where TinyMCE display i.e editing a node or similiar. Then the menu dissapears alltogether until I go to a page without TinyMCE.

Anyone experienced this or know a fix for this?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue. It's one thing that is stopping me from deploying it live. I would love to get this resolved. Thanks.

Has anyone come across any clues to a solution?

This has something to do with Lucid Menu's TMenu0 class - when I edit live HTML and remove the class="Tmenu0" tag, the menu appears (temporarily), but it is behind every other piece of content (as in z-index).

Any ideas? Maybe a similar function is defined and overwritten?

Andrey.

Project:Lucid menu» IMCE
Version:5.x-1.0» 5.x-1.0

Interesting... it's actually the IMCE module rather than TinyMCE that is causing the Lucid Menus to disappear.

I just tried using TinyMCE and FCKeditor and both make Lucid Menus disappear if IMCE is enabled. Both work fine, if it's disabled.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Andrey.

From Nice Menus project page:

The development version for 5 is available. THIS IS NOT READY FOR PRODUCTION USE! Only download this version if you are helping with testing and development.

nice_menus 5.x-1.x-dev :: Release notes:

This is known to have a number of issues still and is NOT suitable for production use. Only download this if you wish to help with testing and bug fixing.

Have you tested it?
Does it work and is it pretty stable?

Thanks,
Andrey.

I've tested Nice Menus. It works pretty well and .css offers tons more customisation than js. I also hate js so that also favors nice menus. :)

BUT, it's totally useless in IE 6.0. It's way to slow, sometimes doesn't load sub menus or sub menu elements at all and it's just jerky and weird. In IE 7.0 it's also a bit weird.

60% of the people who uses my sites use IE 6.0 and the other 40% probably use IE 7.0. So having a messed up meny system for 100% of the users isn't going to happen. :p

I'm using Lucid Menu on practically every site where I need sub menus. Haven't had a single complaint about them dissapearing..... yet. :) And I'm to busy to look for ways of fixing it. I probably will have to when someone complains, but let's hope that day never comes.

Project:IMCE» Lucid menu
Version:5.x-1.0» 5.x-1.0

Thanks for the information.

I guess I'll re-categorize this issue as Lucid Menu again if you're not planning to fix it anytime soon.

I would love to get this going though, because I need a good way for users to load the images into the nodes, and IMCE seems to be the only way. I tried the FCKeditor file manager, but it throws all the images in the same directory for all users, which doesn't make any sense for a site with many users. They are not planning to implement this feature anytime soon either.

Any more ideas? Thanks.
