I guess this is probably a couple of related feature requests, but I just thought I'd report how I'd like to use this.

There aren't really any decent drupal migration tools for most blog types. I used this to migrate a blogger blog, via RSS which has to be the best, most adaptable way of importing stuff short of database level stuff.

However, for this to be really useful I'd like to be able to import all the blogger posts as blog node types (rather than the built in feed_item one), and set the author name for all of them to a site author, so I can consolidate a blog into my drupal site.

There could also be a specific 1-shot setting in the options, obviously I can run it once and then turn it off but I think with a few tweaks this could be a complete one stop migration tool :)

Simplefeed only sets things as feed item nodes. You can do that and transform them with some SQL

Or look into: http://drupal.org/project/feedapi -- more power to do something like that!
