dimitriseng commentedHi, it looks like this module contains a lot of the features and issues requested for the media_gallery module. What is the plan for this? Are these features going to be implemented as part of the extra module or is this a temporary workaround until those are implemented in the media_gallery module? Thank you very much for the great work.

Ryanp commentedHi, maybe I missed it somewhere in the documentation, but it appears that support for private storage is missing. If it is the case that private storage isn't supported, are there plans to introduce this valuable / essential functionality? Thanks for the great module!

vponomarev commentedPatch to add a Gallery collections feature from MediaGallery. (Related to this patch: #1037002: New feature: Gallery containers)
My first patch, made for personal needs, but hope this will be helpful.

smartinm commentedThanks @vponomarev
I reviewed your patch and related patch and I think I can merge it in and it'll be part of Media Gallery Extra. So I will probably work on that next few days.

vponomarev commentedOk, great!
Do you have any plans to add a Media Browser Plus support ?
As i see it could be a really good feature.
Maybe like that: when a gallery folder name is "planned" in media_gallery_directory (when create a gallery node), it creates a "tag" in mediabrowserplus "Media Folders" taxonomy vocabulary, and then loads any media files related to this gallery into that directory.
Trying to do this by myself, but have a little misunderstanding with code.

You are doing a great job here trying to add this extra functionality on top of the Media Gallery module. As per my comment in #1, can you please let us know what is the plan for this module? I see that most of the issues that this is trying to address are in the Media Gallery module's queue. Are these features going to be implemented as part of the extra module or is this a temporary workaround until those are implemented in the media_gallery module?
Waiting for the patch as mentioned in #4 :) Thank you very much for the great work.

lsolesen commented@smartinm Any progress in this module? Maybe you would like to help maintain the main media_gallery module? #1655160: Offering to help maintain media_gallery.
Bernsch commentedYes, you should do it together and combine the two forces Media_Gallery and Media_Gallery_Extra.
In coordination with the Media module.
You doing a good job! Thanks!

smartinm commented@lsolesen Sorry for the lack of response, I have holidays now.
I developed this module because Media Gallery development has been inactive for several months. But now that is active again we can join forces and merge features. I am willing to help maintain media_gallery module.

lsolesen commented@smartfinn Cool. Lets meet in the issue queue :)

lsolesen commented@smartinm Just wanted to give a heads up. We are currently looking into integrating media_gallery with the 2.x-branch of media. #1244204: Make media_gallery work with media-7.x-2.x branch. Any insights please join the discussion.

rains commentedDear smartinm
Any progress?
What's the barriers (hurdles) to a production site version being released?
And
Not wishing to add to your work-list,
but just thought I'd ask ANY plans for multi-lingual functionality?
Let us know what the community can do to help, finalize a useable version.
Thanks
Any progress?
