Hey guys,

I don't know if this should be addresses to you, but I'm trying to upgrade to Drupal 7, I just ran the content migration tool, but where I have a role reference it says there is data, but it can't show it, so let me know if this is something you can take a look at or if I need to ask somebody else.

By the way, when I go to manage fields and click to edit any role reference field that I have it does show me the roles, but it doesn't let me change it.

More help, when I click to migrate, this shows up:

Missing widget: The 'rolereference_select' widget is not available for the field_myfield field, it will be set to the default widget.

More help,

When I click on Field settings I get this:

There is data for this field in the database. The field settings can no longer be changed.

And when I go to what roles can be referenced here it doesn't let me add or subtract any, finally, when I go to content in the content type that has role reference, it shows me the roles list empty.

Hey guys, I really need help with this, if nobody is looking at this issue, at least let me know that it can't be solved.

Just not letting it close because of inactivity, but does anybody have any idea what the problem can be?

I know in a general sense that Drupal 7 locks the attributes of a field once that field is used on nodes with data. That is not a specific issue to rolereference.

That may be true, but when I try to edit an existing node, it would not let me do anything with that field and when I want to create a new one this field is empty, no roles to choose from.

I wish I had more error/warnings to put here but basically the thing is that after the migration took place none of the nodes with this field on it are showing it and as per the field itself it doesn't let me do anything with it, it looks like there is something that's not configured properly in the database/code so it can be "handled" properly.

Did I make myself clear or this is just so confusing that it doesn't make any sense?

I think I found a patch in another forum, but I can't remember what is called so I can put it here, so far it's working now so I'm changing this to closed because of duplicate (where I found the patch).
