Description

The default directory listing shows all terms, parents and children. This is nice for a small vocabulary but if this isn't already possible it would be nice to choose whether children are displayed.

I'd like that too. Also, can I suggest to add an option to show first X number of children and link "more..." as well. This way it can give people an idea of what kind of subcategories can be in a particular category. Kinda like DMoz.org home page (theirs are limited to 3 first subcategories).

As noted on the directory project home page, different styles of presentation will eventually be offered to fit different needs, as each vocabulary has its own particularities.
So, this feature request will definitely be implemented. As to when it will be, it really depends how much help and support users provide.
