Not working with bluemarine theme

I was working in the bluemarine theme in v5.1 and when I created a matrix field the rendering of the page got screwed up; the right block column moved to the bottom of the page. The other issue is that any changes that I make to the field are not saved. I switched the the garland theme and edited the matrix field and it displayed everything correctly as well as saved my changes.
I switched back to bluemarine and only after the matrix had rows and columns set up did it display correctly and save my changes. So something is happening and I'm not sure if it is a matrix module issue or just the bluemarine theme.

I tried to reproduce this issue with Drupal 5.2, Matrix Field 5.x-1.2 and the Bluemarine theme. I configured both a left and right column.
No problems with adding a matrix field, saving the field settings and entering data into the matrix.

problem has been fixed for newer versions
